Nikky in her studio
About Me

Since studying at Cheltenham College of Art and later at The College of St. Paul and St Mary I have spent most of my adult life painting, teaching and bringing up my two children. As Director of Art in Mill Hill, North London I enjoyed sharing my passion with young people. Introducing them to painting, drawing, photography, pottery, sculpture and much more besides.

Since leaving there to enjoy my own children, I have been able to establish a studio where I can paint to my hearts content. My work is mainly in acrylic and is published as greetings cards and prints.

My inspiration comes from life itself and the little things that make us happy. Colours and characters, sunshine and smiles. Memories of carefree childhood holidays and the quirky humour that can be found in almost any situation.

Meeting people and making friends is what life is all about and through my work I have been so fortunate to do just that. My motto is ‘crack as smile and pass it on’ and I am thrilled to watch the response of people when they look at my paintings. The smile I wear and the giggle I get from putting life down on a canvas is reflected on the faces of others, and what better motivation is there than that!
